MBA 2012 Admission open…

Next Counselling & Selection process will be held on 18th Feb 2012 at 09.30 AM at FIMS Campus. Graduates / final year degree students with Dec MAT score may attend the counselling. Applications may be obtained from our Administrative office on payment of Rs 750/- on the day of counselling.

7th MBA Program inauguration at FIMS

Dr PB Salim, District Collector Kozhikode has inaugurated the 7th batch for MBA program of Farook Institute of Management Studies. Farook Institute of Management studies is affiliated to University of Calicut and has been successful in shaping many management careers .Its former students are enjoying rewarding careers with corporate in India and abroad.

While speaking on the occasion , Dr PB Salim called upon the managerial aspirants ,not just to aim for successful corporate careers but also to groom themselves to be a to be good human being. Mr Pk Ahmed, Chairman FIMS presided the function. Mr Haseeb Ahmed, Joint secretary FIMS welcomed the gathering. Prof Dr EP Sainul Abideen Director FIMS delivered vote of thanks. Mr KV Kunhammed koya and Prof U Muhammed felicitated the participants.

ADVANCED MANAGEMENT SKILLS TRAINING

Cap stone Advanced management skills training Program for the fourth semester MBA students were conducted by Saanvi HR Training Academy at Chennai. The primary objective of the seven day work shop was to facilitate campus to corporate transformation.Top notch trainers and Captains of the Industry shared their experiences with the students.

Industrial Visit to Amrutanjan Plant at Chennai…

Fouth Sem MBA students visited the Amrutanjan plant which was started in 1936 at Chennai.

Industrial Visit To Hyundai Plant ,Sreperumbudur ,Chennai-

Fourth Semester MBA students visited the 525 acre Hyundai complex and toured its new USD 1 billion plant . The visit enabled the students to understand the modern manufacturing technology management in detail.

PLACEMENT DRIVES AT FIMS

Dr Reddy's visited the campus on 7/3/11 and conducted selection process and have short listed three students.

Global Educational Solutions came to the campus on 8/3/11 and conducted initial selection process by means of G.D and Personal interview and short listed 14 candidates for final interview at their office on 12/3/11.

Flowtronix visited the campus on 17/3/11 and interviewed 9 candidates

VKC is visiting the campus on 21/3/11. Twenty students are short listed by VKC to attend the selection process.

We are doing necessary follow-up for HDFC, SIB and Federal Bank who have promised to visit the campus for a recruitment drive at the end of March.

FIMS PARTICIPATION IN THE BEYPORE DEVELOPMENT SEMINAR :-

Government officers from Kerala Bureau of Industrial Promotion,Industrial Department and Beypore Development Mission had a meeting with the Staff and Students of Farook Institute of Management Studies on 26th March 2010 to discuss the matters relating to the conduct of Beypore Development Seminar VISION 2025.

FIMS will be assisting the conduct of seminar in the following ways.

1) Compilation of the Reports of the various developmental Activities by the various Govt. Depts/agencies and to present in the form of a booklet.A brief report is to be prepared for powerpoint in the Seminar.

2) Minuting and Documenting the proceedings of the seminar.

3) Compilation of the proceedings in computer for presentation during the valedictory session.

4) Assisting the organisers in professional volunteering during the seminar.

Structural Reforms , captures the highlights of the Budget this year .

Prof (Dr) VK Vijayakumar ,eminent economist and HOD , Department of Economics, Sree Krishna College ,Guruvayoor applauded the budgetary reforms brought in this year which will change the budgetary exercise forever. He was speaking in a seminar on “Budget 2010 – A perspective” jointly organized by Farook Institute of Management Studies and Department of Commerce and Management Studies, Farook College ,on Wednesday,10th March 2010 at Farook College Auditorium. Prof PT Abdul Latheef ,HOD,Economics Department ,Farook College inaugurated the seminar.and Prof EP Imbichikoya ,HOD ,DCMS, Farook College presided.
