The HR Club of Farook Institute of Management Studies (FIMS) successfully hosted HR Hustle: Where Talent Meets Tactics, an intellectually stimulating event aimed at sharpening the HR acumen of future professionals. With the central theme focusing on the convergence of talent and strategy, the event provided an exciting platform for management students to engage in real-world HR challenges. It offered participants a chance to showcase their knowledge and decision-making abilities in core HR functions like recruitment, employee engagement, and performance management.
Designed to foster collaboration, leadership, and critical thinking, the event featured four competitive rounds that tested both technical expertise and practical application. Beginning with an HR Quiz, the competition advanced through a Jumbled Jargon & Puzzle round, followed by Spot the Jargon, where participants decoded concepts from visuals. The finale, a high-pressure case study round, pushed the top teams to propose strategic HR solutions without any internet support. Each stage was carefully curated to challenge students in different aspects of HR management while maintaining an energetic and engaging learning environment.
The event was evaluated by a distinguished panel comprising Dr. Arun Velayudhan, Dr. Vinu V G, and Ms. Leena M B, who brought rich academic and industry perspectives to the judging process. Their insights and feedback added immense value to the participants’ learning journey. Overall, HR Hustle stood as a testament to FIMS’ commitment to experiential learning, equipping students with the confidence and capability to excel in dynamic HR roles.
