Farook Institute of Management Studies (FIMS) organized an insightful session titled “Finance Rebooted: New Skills for a New Era” on Tuesday, 25th February 2025. The event was held at the MDP Hall from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM and focused on equipping future finance professionals with the emerging skills needed in a rapidly evolving financial landscape.
The chief guest for the session was Mr. Ranjith K, an Ex-Banker from Federal Bank, well-known faculty member, and columnist in the fields of Economics and Finance. He shared his vast experience in the financial services industry, offering students valuable insights into the trends transforming the sector—ranging from digital banking innovations to the growing importance of financial analytics and policy adaptability.
The session witnessed active participation from MBA students, especially those specializing in Finance, who gained a deeper understanding of the practical expectations of the industry. Mr. Ranjith emphasized the importance of continuous learning, tech-savviness, and adaptability in this new era of finance. The event was a successful initiative by FIMS to bridge academic learning with real-world financial expertise.
