The Farook Institute of Management Studies (FIMS), in association with the AI Academy, conducted a transformative workshop titled “Learning AI with Purpose: How AI Prepares You for Tomorrow” on 25th June 2025 at Parisons Hall, Farook College. The event was designed to provide students and professionals with practical exposure to emerging AI tools and their applications in business and education.

The inaugural function was led by Dr. Ahamed Riaz K, Director of FIMS, who emphasized the institution’s focus on preparing students for tech-driven careers. The session was presided over by Mr. Nissamudheen Firoz, Chief Visionary Officer of AI Academy and an award-winning HR strategist, who spoke on the importance of integrating AI with human resource development and leadership. A compelling keynote address was delivered by Mr. Afzal Mohammed, Chief Learning Officer, AI Academy and Google Certified Innovator, who highlighted real-world use cases of AI across industries.

The workshop sessions included hands-on training and demonstrations of popular AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Canva AI, Google AI tools, GrammarlyGO, and various automation tools useful in marketing, business analytics, and content creation. Participants actively explored how these technologies can enhance decision-making, productivity, communication, and innovation in academic and professional environments.

The event witnessed active participation from MBA students, faculty members, and external guests, sparking meaningful discussions on the ethical use of AI, future job roles, and the need for continuous upskilling. This initiative reaffirmed FIMS’s commitment to equipping future managers with cutting-edge skills and fostering a mindset of purposeful innovation.
