The HR Club of Farook Institute of Management Studies (FIMS) successfully conducted a Corporate Interface Session on 11th June 2025 at the AVT Hall, Farook College. Designed as part of the club’s ongoing commitment to bridge the gap between management education and industry expectations, the event was a valuable opportunity for MBA students to engage directly with a corporate expert and understand the evolving dynamics of the talent acquisition landscape.

The session featured Mr. Nishan Ilahi P.R, Talent Acquisition Officer at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), as the distinguished Chief Guest. With his rich experience in recruitment and corporate talent strategy, Mr. Nishan provided an in-depth perspective on how leading organizations like TCS approach hiring in today’s competitive environment. His talk focused on emerging hiring trends, the shift towards digital recruitment processes, and the growing importance of soft skills alongside technical qualifications.

Students were particularly engaged as Mr. Nishan discussed the expectations companies have from fresh management graduates. He stressed the importance of adaptability, digital fluency, and a proactive mindset in the modern workplace. Drawing from real-life examples and his personal experiences in the industry, he offered actionable advice for students on how to align their academic knowledge with practical, career-ready skills.

The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where students had the opportunity to clarify their doubts and explore future career paths. The Corporate Interface Session not only enhanced the students’ understanding of corporate realities but also reinforced FIMS’s vision of nurturing industry-ready professionals. The HR Club looks forward to hosting more such enriching interactions in the future to support the holistic development of its students.
