The Finance Club of Farook Institute of Management Studies (FIMS), Exchequer, successfully hosted an engaging session titled “FINEDGE: Live Trading Essentials” on 29th May 2025 at the MDP Hall. The resource person for the day was Mr. Ram Narayan, Investment Planning Specialist and Head of Client Relations at Artha Financial Services. The session attracted finance enthusiasts and budding investors from the MBA program, eager to explore the workings of the stock market.
The event commenced with an insightful introduction to the stock market ecosystem, highlighting the role of stock exchanges, the significance of SEBI as a regulatory body, and the function of various market participants like brokers, investors, and institutions. Mr. Ram Narayan broke down the concepts in simple terms, enabling students to understand the dynamic nature of the stock market and how price fluctuations occur based on market forces.
Building upon this foundation, Mr. Ram discussed the basics of stock trading, including how to analyze a stock, understand company fundamentals, read market charts, and evaluate risk.
