Building the Foundation: The FIMS MBA 2026–28 Bridge Induction Programme

The Farook Institute of Management Studies (FIMS) successfully conducted its Bridge Induction Programme for the MBA 2026–28 batch from August 18 to August 23, 2026. The six-day programme was designed to bridge the transition from undergraduate education to professional management studies and prepare newly admitted students for the academic, personal, and professional expectations of an MBA programme.

Recognising that students enter management education from diverse academic backgrounds, the Bridge Induction Programme provided a common platform for developing essential competencies and creating a professional mindset from the very beginning. Through expert-led sessions and institutional orientation, the programme focused on self-development, critical thinking, life skills, design thinking, professional readiness, personal growth, mental well-being, corporate orientation, and familiarity with the academic infrastructure of FIMS.

2026 Bridge Schedule

The programme commenced on August 18, 2026, with an engaging full-day session led by Mr. Naveen Manomohanan on “Challenging the Self.” As the opening module of the Bridge Induction, the session encouraged students to move beyond their comfort zones, recognise their individual strengths, and develop the confidence required to face new academic and professional challenges. The session established an energetic tone for the programme by reinforcing the importance of self-awareness, personal responsibility, adaptability, and continuous improvement.

The programme continued on August 19, 2026, with a strong focus on the transition towards professional education and effective decision-making. Mr. A. R. Vinod, Managing Partner of The Crown Theatre, Kozhikode, conducted the session “Preparing for Professional Education,” helping students understand the attitude, discipline, responsibility, and learning orientation expected in management education. Complementing this, Ms. Rakhee Vijay Nair handled the session “Critical Thinking & Its Role in Solving Real-Time Problems.” The session encouraged students to analyse situations logically, question assumptions, evaluate alternatives, and approach real-world problems with clarity and structured thinking.

On August 20, 2026, the programme concentrated on building essential personal and managerial competencies. Mr. Suhail CP, Corporate Trainer, led the session “Life Skills Orientation,” introducing students to the practical skills required to manage academic, interpersonal, and professional situations effectively. The session emphasised adaptability, communication, self-management, and responsible decision-making. Ms. Aisha Sameeha conducted the session “Design Thinking Analysis,” exposing students to creative and human-centred approaches to problem-solving. The session helped students understand the value of observation, empathy, innovation, and solution-oriented thinking in contemporary management practice.

The sessions on August 21, 2026, placed emphasis on professional identity and individual development. Mr. Vipin Raj, Corporate Trainer, delivered “The Professional Edge: MBA Pro Launch,” focusing on the attitudes, behavioural standards, communication skills, and professional qualities expected of future managers. The session provided students with a clearer understanding of how they could begin developing a strong professional presence from the early stages of their MBA journey. This was followed by Ms. Jijoy Joseph, who conducted “Stepping into the Growth Zone.” The session motivated students to embrace challenges, overcome self-imposed limitations, remain open to learning, and develop a growth-oriented approach towards both personal and professional development.

The Bridge Induction continued on August 22, 2026, with sessions addressing mental well-being and readiness for the corporate environment. Dr. Abdul Khader, Principal, Farook College ITE & Consultant Psychologist, led the session “Happy Mind for Healthy Life.” The session highlighted the importance of emotional well-being, resilience, positive thinking, and healthy ways of managing the pressures associated with academic and professional life. Adv. Anees, Vice Principal of Govt. Law College, Kozhikode, conducted the session “From School to the Corporate World,” providing students with valuable perspectives on the transition from student life to a professional environment. The session emphasised maturity, responsibility, communication, workplace behaviour, and the need to adapt to the expectations of the corporate world.

The six-day Bridge Induction Programme concluded on August 23, 2026, with an institutional orientation facilitated by the internal trainers of FIMS. The concluding sessions familiarised students with the computer lab, library facilities, and the overall infrastructure of the institution. Students were introduced to the academic resources, technological facilities, learning spaces, and support systems available to them during their MBA programme. The orientation enabled the newly admitted students to become comfortable with the FIMS campus and understand how to effectively utilise the facilities and resources available for their academic development.

By integrating expert sessions on self-development, professional education, critical thinking, life skills, design thinking, professional readiness, personal growth, mental well-being, and corporate orientation, along with a comprehensive introduction to the academic facilities of FIMS, the Bridge Induction Programme 2026 provided the MBA 2026–28 batch with a strong foundation for the journey ahead.

Launching Excellence: The FIMS MBA 2025-27 Bridge Induction Program

The Farook Institute of Management Studies (FIMS) successfully executed its essential Bridge Induction Program for the MBA 2025-27 batch, a mandatory training designed to harmonize diverse academic backgrounds and instill a professional management mindset. Recognizing that a successful MBA journey requires more than just textbook knowledge, this multi-day injection program focused intensively on critical soft skills and corporate readiness. The training provided a crucial level playing field, ensuring all newly admitted students were activated and aligned with corporate expectations before the formal curriculum began.

2025 Bridge Schedule

The program kicked off on August 30, 2025, with a high-impact session led by Mr. Mohammed Ikan, Corporate Trainer & Business Coach, on the topic: “TAKE OFF – Activation & Corporate Expectations.” This inaugural module was vital for immediately setting the professional tone and outlining the rigorous demands of the corporate world. The momentum continued on August 31, 2025, with a dual focus on professional transition and well-being. Dr. P. K. Anees, Vice Principal of Govt. Law College, Kozhikode, delivered a critical session on transitioning “From Campus to Corporate,” providing actionable guidance on career shift. This was followed by an equally important session on mental resilience, “Happy Mind for Healthy Life,” led by Dr. A P Abdul Khader, Principal, Farook College ITE & Consultant Psychologist, addressing the mental preparedness required for a demanding B-School life.

The program continued to build essential managerial competencies on September 1, 2025, featuring two distinct and crucial sessions. Ms. Sucharita Hota, a Corporate Trainer, engaged the students with the powerful module “Know Thyself: Connecting across Differences Team Building.” This training was instrumental in fostering peer bonding, improving interpersonal communication, and building effective teamwork skills—all non-negotiable for project success in the MBA program and future management roles. Furthermore, Mr. A R Vinod, Managing Partner of The Crown Theatre, Kozhikode, shared practical wisdom in the session “Beyond the Books: Practical Skills for Tomorrow’s Managers,” offering real-world perspectives that grounded the students in the practical application of management theories.

The Bridge Induction concluded on September 2, 2025, with a strong emphasis on global and ethical readiness. Mr. Suhail CP, Corporate Trainer, challenged the students with the session “Beyond Boundaries,” encouraging them to think globally and break conventional barriers in their careers. This was followed by the final essential training, “The Corporate Code: Professionalism in Action,” delivered by Mr. Vipin Raj, Corporate Trainer. This concluding module was essential for instilling the required level of professional etiquette, integrity, and ethical conduct. By integrating these expert-led sessions on communication, professional behavior, mental health, and teamwork, the Bridge Program ensured the MBA 2025-27 batch received the necessary preparation to confidently navigate the academic challenges and successfully launch their corporate careers.
