Brand Buzz is a flagship initiative launched by INVICTA, the marketing club of Farook Institute of Management Studies (FIMS), in collaboration with IMPEX—a leading brand in consumer electronics. This academic-industry partnership aims to provide students with experiential learning in marketing, branding, and consumer engagement. The campaign kicked off with an introductory meeting and entered its second phase with an on-campus event on May 22, 2025, held at Center Square, FIMS, under the theme “Feel the Buzz, Be the Brand.”

The event featured a live product demonstration of the IMPEX Magic Pan, where students acted as brand promoters. This activity offered them the opportunity to practically apply concepts such as product positioning, customer interaction, and value-based communication. Through this session, students understood the significance of live consumer engagement and the power of visual storytelling and persuasive messaging in branding.

The primary objectives of the programme included: enhancing students’ real-world branding and promotional skills, developing creative marketing strategies, and fostering collaboration between academia and industry. The outcomes were notable—students demonstrated creativity, teamwork, and strategic thinking, while the IMPEX team acknowledged the energy and professionalism shown. Faculty coordinators Dr. Sujith Sebastian and Mr. Mohammed Jasir P V provided continuous support, ensuring academic alignment with practical execution.

Looking ahead, Brand Buzz will move beyond campus, with plans to conduct student-led promotional campaigns in supermarkets and shopping malls. This expansion aims to immerse students in real market scenarios, allowing them to manage branding challenges in dynamic retail environments. The initiative reflects FIMS’ commitment to industry-relevant education and preparing future-ready marketing professionals.
