Farook Institute of Management Studies (FIMS), in association with the Calicut Management Association (CMA), hosted the CMA Speakers Meet on 23 September 2026 at the MSA Hall. Conducted from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, the programme brought together students, faculty members, and industry professionals for an engaging session focused on practical knowledge, professional experience, and contemporary management perspectives.
The first speaker, Sanjai Thomas, is an MBA graduate, NFNLP professional, industry veteran, risk mitigator, trainer, and discussion lead. Drawing on his extensive professional experience, he contributed valuable perspectives relevant to management practice, workplace challenges, risk awareness, and professional development.
The session also featured Surya Narayanan, Past Chairman of the Kozhikode Branch of SIRC of ICAI for 2024–25, Partner at LDS & Co., Chartered Accountants, and Secretary of CMA. His strong background in finance, accounting, professional leadership, and association activities added further depth to the programme and gave participants an opportunity to learn from real-world professional experience.
The CMA Speakers Meet reflected FIMS’s continued emphasis on connecting academic learning with industry exposure. By creating opportunities for students to interact with experienced professionals and thought leaders, such programmes help broaden perspectives, strengthen professional awareness, and encourage meaningful conversations beyond the classroom.
