The AI Club of FIMS, in association with the academic event of the course Data Analysis and Computing, successfully organized a two-day Workshop on R Programming on 6th and 7th May 2026 at the Computer Lab, FIMS. The workshop was conducted with the objective of introducing students to the fundamentals and practical applications of R Programming in data analysis, statistical computing, and research.
The sessions were handled by Mr. Amidhali V, Senior Research Fellow, Department of Economics, Farook College (Autonomous), Kozhikode. The resource person provided hands-on training and practical exposure to various analytical tools and platforms including R Studio, Gretl, SPSS, Jamovi, and E-Views.
The workshop enabled students to develop practical skills in data handling, visualization, statistical analysis, and interpretation using R Programming. Participants actively engaged in the interactive sessions and gained valuable insights into the application of analytical tools in research and business decision-making.
The program reflected the commitment of the AI Club, FIMS, towards promoting technology-driven learning and enhancing students’ analytical and research capabilities through practical exposure and skill-oriented training initiatives.
