The students of Farook Institute of Management Studies visited the Indian Business Museum at Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode in two batches on 12 May 2026 and 29 May 2026 as part of an experiential learning initiative aimed at enhancing students’ understanding of business history and management evolution in India.

The visit provided students with a unique opportunity to explore the rich legacy of Indian trade, entrepreneurship, commerce, and corporate transformation through an extensive collection of historical exhibits, business artifacts, archival materials, and interactive displays. The museum offered valuable insights into the development of Indian industries, traditional business practices, and the growth of modern enterprises across different periods.

During the visit, students gained exposure to various aspects of Indian business heritage, including indigenous trade systems, entrepreneurial journeys, branding evolution, marketing practices, and management innovations that shaped the Indian economy over the years. The experience enabled students to connect theoretical management concepts learned in the classroom with real-world business history and practical industry perspectives.

The visit also provided students with the opportunity to experience the academic environment of Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode, one of India’s premier management institutions. The interactive and informative nature of the museum visit inspired students to appreciate the importance of innovation, leadership, and entrepreneurial thinking in shaping successful business ecosystems.

The programme served as an enriching academic exposure that strengthened experiential learning and encouraged students to develop a deeper understanding of India’s business and management landscape.
