The Reader’s Club of Farook Institute of Management Studies (FIMS) organized Board Room Battle 2026, a debate competition aimed at enhancing students’ critical thinking, public speaking, and analytical skills. The event provided a platform for participants to express their views, engage in constructive discussions, and develop confidence in presenting arguments on contemporary topics.
The competition began with preliminary rounds that witnessed enthusiastic participation from students. Based on their performance, four teams were shortlisted for the final round. The finalists demonstrated impressive communication skills, logical reasoning, and the ability to defend their perspectives while responding effectively to opposing viewpoints.
After a closely contested final, Sneha Umeshan Pongodan and Hiba Fathima VK emerged as the winners of Board Room Battle 2026. Shihas MS and Muhammed Muhsin secured the runners-up position with an equally commendable performance. The event showcased the talent, teamwork, and intellectual capabilities of the participating students.
The programme was a valuable learning experience that encouraged healthy debate and the exchange of ideas. It also reflected the Reader’s Club’s commitment to fostering a culture of reading, discussion, and intellectual growth among students.
