Farook Institute of Management Studies (FIMS) marked a significant milestone in its commitment to industry-oriented management education with the inauguration of the CMA Student Chapter. The initiative aims to provide students with greater exposure to professional networks, industry interactions, leadership development opportunities, and contemporary management practices, thereby bridging the gap between academics and the corporate world.
The chapter was formally inaugurated by Ms. Vinodini Sukumar, President of The Cochin Chamber of Commerce and Industry and TiE Kerala CM – Leading TYE & TiE U. In her keynote address, she shared valuable insights on leadership, entrepreneurship, industry transformation, and the importance of continuous learning in a rapidly evolving business environment. Her inspiring interaction encouraged students to think beyond conventional career paths and embrace innovation and professional growth.
The event was presided over by Dr. Ahamed Riaz K, Director, FIMS, and was held on 9 December 2025 at the MDP Hall, FIMS, Farook College. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and representatives from the management and business community. The occasion provided a platform for meaningful dialogue between academia and industry, reinforcing the importance of professional engagement in management education.
