The NIPM Student Chapter at Farook Institute of Management Studies (FIMS) organized “Meet the Mentor”, an interactive mentoring session as part of the NIPM Student Chapter Induction 2026. The event featured Ms. Sameera Chakeeri, Founder & Director of Growen, Co-Founder & Director of Astria Healthcare, Chairperson of the NIPM Calicut Cluster, and a distinguished alumna of the FIMS MBA 2006–08 Batch. The session provided students with an opportunity to interact with an accomplished HR professional and entrepreneur while gaining valuable industry insights.
During “Meet the Mentor,” Ms. Sameera shared her inspiring journey from being a management student at FIMS to becoming a successful entrepreneur and HR leader. She spoke about the importance of leadership, adaptability, continuous learning, and professional ethics, encouraging students to embrace challenges and make the most of opportunities that contribute to both personal and professional growth.
The interactive nature of “Meet the Mentor” allowed students to engage in meaningful discussions on career planning, industry expectations, entrepreneurship, and the evolving role of Human Resource Management. Through real-life experiences and practical examples, the session offered students valuable perspectives on navigating the corporate world with confidence and purpose.
The event concluded with an engaging question-and-answer session, where students sought guidance on career development and professional aspirations. “Meet the Mentor” successfully reinforced the objectives of the FIMS NIPM Student Chapter by strengthening industry-academia interaction, promoting alumni engagement, and inspiring the next generation of management professionals through meaningful mentorship.
